Industrial relations department promotes and facilitates labour management co-operation and industrial harmony in the Enterprises coming under its purview and provides advisory services and guidance to employers and employees on labour relations aspects.
Main Functions of the departments:
- To provide advisory services to investors, management, employees' council members and trade union members on labour standards and employment relations policies and procedures.
- To promote and facilitate consultation, communication and corporation between labour and management on matters of mutual concern in particular the improvement of efficiency, and productivity in the BOI enterprises
- To undertake pro – active measure for prevention of industrial disputes promote and facilitate settlement of industrial disputes.
- To facilitate the establishment of employees' councils as per the BOI guidelines for the formation and operation of the employees council and social dialog and work place corporation through the effective functioning of the council in BOI enterprises.
